[edit] Who Is He?
Messiah Muffin (formerly YodaMagicCircus) is a UK Grifballer from St.Helens who was one of the founders and the captain of, now folded, UK Grifball team Johnsons Salty Grifballs, a past member of The Elite Spartans and played for and captained, What The Bee Gees?, after leaving TES to play for the new team. After What The BeeGees? folded, Messiah Muffin took a break from Grifball and missed the UKGBWL10. After he returned, he re-joined The Elite Spartans in time for the EUGBSL10.
He has competed in the UKGBSML08, the UKGBAL08, the UKGBWL09 (becoming a runner-up), the UKGBSML09 and competed in and won the Sarge's Memorial Cup.
[edit] Johnsons Salty Grifballs
YodaMagicCircus was the captain and founder of Johnsons Salty Grifballs, along with his brother, TOS Macca. He created it after finally experiencing Grifball during a double experience weekend.
He already knew about Grifball and knew he wanted to play once he played for that first time. He instantly decided to create the team and not long later, Johnsons Salty Grifballs was born.
He still plays for Johnsons Salty Grifballs and designs all of there stuff. This includes logos, fake merchandise and the JSG MySpace page. He also wrote the Johnsons Salty Grifballs theme tune, a spoof of the song 'Still Alive' that is found on the ending credits to the video game Portal, by Valve.

To qualify for the playoffs, the had to take on Grif-Sport Elite, the team who had finished second in Division 3. Johnsons Salty Grifballs defeated them 6-3 and went on to the playoffs. Yoda dreaded his teams game against Great British Grifballers in which JSG were defeated 7-2. Yoda was upset about his loss but moved on swiftly towards new beginnings and the Sarge's Memorial Cup.
JSG ended the competition with a record of 9 wins and 1 loss, which knocked them out of the competition.

[edit] Sarge's Memorial Cup
YodaMagicCircus captained his team into the Sarge's Memorial Cup and its Sarge Division. Before joining the team, Strangler 999 said he expected Yoda and his team to finish bottom of the division. In the end, Yoda captained JSG through the Sarge Division with only one loss to there name and won the division with 4 wins, 1 loss and 1 forfeit win, defeating Grifball Addicts Anomynous twice, Sarge's Angels once and Epic Fail twice (including a forfeit win). There only loss was to Sarge's Angels. Yoda got the most kills in the division too and finished with the best K/D ratio.
Yoda then took his team to the knock-out stages were he and JSG overcame opponents the Smiley Pickle Pirates 8-1 and The Angry Saints by the same score. In the final, JSG pulled off a lucky win against rivals The Fumble Faction to take the cup. This was Yoda's and JSG's first big competition win.
JSG ended the competition with a record of 8 wins and 1 loss, bit still won the competition.

YodaMagicCircus captained JSG into the legacy division (Division 1) of the UKGBAL08, with rivals The Fumble Faction, Grifballs of Steel and Sarge's Angels, along with the winners of the UKGBSML08, Chupathingy.
He captained his team through 4 wins, 3 losses and also obtained a forfeit win, (with two wins on Sarge's Angels, one win and a forfeit victory over Chupathingy, a win and loss over The Fumble Faction and two losses against Grifballs of Steel). They finished 3rd in there division and made it into the playoffs by securing one of the wild card places.
They got to the final 4 by defeating friendly rivals, The Elite Spartans, in the quarter finals. They were then defeated in a close game against The Fumble Faction, who went on too win, in the semi finals.A 3rd place game was never played so there is no decision about if JSG or The Angry Saints claimed third place.
JSG went out with of 5 wins and 4 losses record under there belt.

Yoda has also captained JSG into two bum-rush tournaments, the Knocked-Up Bumrush and the Missing Link Bumrush in which they were knocked out first round in both, by The Fumble Faction in one and Grifballs of Steel in the other.
He also captained them into the WHRRODD Cup were they finished 3rd after finishing second to The Fumble Faction in their group stage, then losing to Grifballs of Steel and finally beating Hardman's Destroyers 8-1 for 3rd place.
He also captained his team into the UK Advent Bumrush. The other teams in the cup were The Fumble Faction, Sarge's Angels, The Elite Spartans and Spaghetti and Grifballs. In the end, Johnsons Salty Grifballs came second, after losing to The Fumble Faction but winning their over 3 games.
In the UK Off-Season Cup, Yoda and JSG went 3-1 in the group stages, being defeated by Grifballs of Steel before defeating IJATWG and picking up forfeits over Flaming Bunnies and Grifball Addicts Anomynous. They defeated Hardman's Destroyers in the quarter finals but then lost to Grifballs of Steel in the semi finals.
[edit] The Elite Spartans
After JSG folded, Yoda decided to quit Grifball, not wishing to play anymore. After being persuaded by his Grifballing friend, Strangler 999, Yoda decided to return to Grifball and quickly signed for The Elite Spartans, to play with ex-JSG teammates Strangler 999 and JSG HEADTIME.
He played his first game for TES in the Winter League playoffs (after TES had won there group). They defeated Sarge's Angels 6-3 moving to the next round.
His next game was in the Losers Bracket (after TES lost to The Fumble Faction in his absence) and they played Grifballs of Brass. In a very close game where both teams played well (with GBOB getting the majority of the kills), The Elite Spartans won the game. Yoda failed to score any and got a bad k/d ratio like the rest of the team, but launched in Strangler for multiple goals and helped make key stops.
After getting a forfeit against JSG's old B-Team, Johnsons Sweet N Sour Grifballs, (due to very unlucky circumstances for JSSG) The Elite Spartans moved into the semi-finals were they took on The Fumble Faction. After a spectacular display by The Elite Spartans, and the surprisingly hosting Yoda, who got 87 kills and a +48 k/d ratio.
The Elite Spartans then took on Grifballs of Steel in the final. This was Yoda's first league final. In a game that ended with the close score of 5-4, Grifballs of Steel prevailed and became the new UK Grifball Champions, with The Elite Spartans and Yoda, only managing second place. Yoda managed to score 3 of The Elite Spartans 4 goals (the other being by Bowman). After this he left The Elite Spartans to join a team with this best friends.
He has also played for the team for several scrims, but has yet to compete in any other league or cup match for them.

With friends Hardcore Wookie and KnuXles returning to Grifball, Wookie decided to create a team called What The Bee Gees?. Yoda joined the team after The Elite Spartans had finished their run in the UKGBWL09, coming second overall. After Wookie decided he didn't want to captain the team anymore, he gave captaincy to Yoda. However, Yoda didn't want to captain another team so gave captaincy to Strangler. However, after Strangler left the team, Yoda was put back in charge of the team.
Yoda is set to compete with What The Bee Gees? in the Johnson's Memorial Cup and the UKGBSML09.
He has played for the team in scrimmages, however.
[edit] UKGBSML09
What The Bee Gees? played their first game against Tex and the City. However, due to network problems on Yoda's behalf, Tex and the City allowed for a rematch and the game was rescheduled. For the rematch, WTBG? could only manage to get 3 players and lost to Tex and the City by a 9-0 shutout. Yoda played, however, and did the best on his team and came close to scoring too.
In this second game, they took on Spaghetti and Grifballs. The team could only manage a loss of 7-2, with their experience going against them. Yoda, however, scored, got a positive k/d ratio and managed to get 12 carrier kills which helped him to win the Golden Sword in week 1 of the competition.
In Week 2 they took on Hammer Time UK. With host against them, Yoda and What The Bee Gees? lost 5-4, in a game that Yoda enjoyed, a game that lasted over 20 minutes. Yoda scored twice and got 10 carrier kills, but only got a -5 k/d ratio, which was still the second best on his team, after Wookie's -2 k/d ratio.
On his fourth game for the team, What The Bee Gees? took on Chupathingy. Yoda managed to get host for the first time in this game, which helped him to get 2 scores and a +9 k/d ratio. However, oRcHiD oVeRkIlL played very well and managed to help his team to a narrow 5-4 victory.
What The Bee Gees? claimed two forfeits over Saber Squad as they dropped out of the competition, meaning Yoda was unable to play against them.
Week 3, and What The Bee Gees? were stronger than ever; getting their first win over the Smiley Pickle Pirates in a game put in WTBG? favor and having co-captain and trickrunner, Strangler 999 back from his holiday. They had a player advantage to start with and YodaMagicCircus managed to win host. It took What The Bee Gees? a mere 4 minutes to defeat the handicapped team 9-0. Strangler 999 scored 6 times, YodaMagicCircus: 2, and Hardcore Wookie: 1. Soon after the game Strangler 999 spoke with the opponents acting-captain, randy bobandyyy, and praised his sportsmanship and willpower to play against a larger squad.
Their second game of Week 3 was against Immingunz. Using the same team they used against the Smiley Pickle Pirates, What The Bee Gees? claimed a 9-0 win, which Immingunz were not happy about. During the game, a Immingunz player left the game on what was reported to be "Red Ring", but he returned later in the game. Yoda failed to score but Strangler managed to score 8, with Wookie also scoring one. Yoda did get the most kills with 46, the biggest k/d ratio with +17 and the most bomb carrier kills with 7, in the game.

In Week 4, they took on Sarge's Angels, in which they lost, but not without Yoda lagging through the entire game, finding it difficult to play. He still managed a +4 K/D ratio in the 6-3 defeat (Strangler had scored all of What The Bee Gees? scores), even though he couldn't play properly. What The Bee Gees? disputed the game but a rematch was not given.
They also took on the undefeated league front runners, The Elite Spartans. In an exciting game, What The Bee Gees? lost 6-3. Yoda failed to score as Strangler scored all 3 of the scores with Yoda notching the most kills (out of both teams) with 52, getting a +2 k/d ratio. Yoda also got the most carrier kills with 5.
In Week 5, Chupathingy folded, giving everyone two wins, including What The Bee Gees?, with there loss against them being discounted (but kept in the Golden Records).
In their final game of the holiday month (Week 5), they picked up some new players in the transfer window which had opened. These were SGT MacMuffin and Ryan DC23. They then took on Epicballs, with Ryan getting his debut game for the team. They won the game 7-2, with Strangler scoring all 7, and Ryan getting the most kills at 49 and the biggest k/d ratio with +20. Yoda, however, got the most carrier kills with 4.
What The Bee Gees? didn't play in Week 6.
In Week 7, they took on Grifballs of Steel. In a weird game which involved three players lagging out, two host changes and a player switch, Grifballs of Steel showed why they were champions, becoming 9-0 winners. Strangler was switched during the game for A Smoky Duck and Trunk Monkeey played in his debut game for the side. RyanDC23 did the best for the team, netting over 60 kills and only a -6 k/d ratio, but Trunk Monkeey got 3 carrier kills. Yoda got around 40 kills, a -20 k/d ratio and 1 carrier kill, and didn't score of course. Most of the team wanted a rematch, thinking the game was void, but Yoda didn't inquire for a rematch, thinking the result was fair enough on the side of Grifballs of Steel.
After this game, Strangler left the team, putting Yoda back in charge of the team, but the team folded shortly after.

While playing for What The Bee Gees?, Yoda competed in the UK Low G Summer Bumrush, and played for a team called The Duffs Experience Featuring Mallard, with Duffs69 of Epicballs, Dr Kentucky of TES, MallardQuakson of Budgie Studios and Marcusrowlands of WTBG? They came third in the bum rush, beating Sarge's Angels, Immingunz and 3 Tanks and a Pussyfooter, but losing to Go Go Power Rangers and Yep We've Won.

Yoda returned after the UKGBWL10, under the new name of the Messiah Muffin. He returned as a free agent, but soon re-joined The Elite Spartans, who he had played for during the UKGBWL09.

The Elite Spartans entered the EUGBSPL10, with Messiah Muffin on their team.
He missed their first game but played in their second game against the undefeated Channel 4 News Team. With a full team once again, TES managed to secure a surprise 6-3 win, keeping them in contention for the title, after 4 goals by Bowman141, and another 2 from Messiah Muffin and Dr.Kentucky.
[edit] Role in Grifball
YodaMagicCircus has taken on many roles for his team. He captained the team, was the team illustrator, player and link to the rest of the Grifball world. He has also played many roles for his team. He began as a trick runner before moving to hybrid and then to defender. He can play in any role and is not bound to one role like some players.
YodaMagicCircus was his teams single link to the rest of the Grifball world to begin with, being the only player to converse with other teams and there captains and the only player to visit the Grifball site frequently and the only member to use his Rooster Teeth account.
He also makes lots of logos and signs for the Grifball community, including logos for Johnsons Salty Grifballs, Sarge's Angels, Smiley Pickle Pirates, The Hammer Monkeys, What The Bee Gees?, the Sarge's Memorial Cup competition and the UKGBAL08.
He also spent lots of his time scouting new teams and players in the UK Grifballing circuit and messaged them and helped spread the news of Grifball on the internet in different internet forums. So far, only one of the teams he scouted have signed up to any competition and that is 5 Retards and a Cripple. He also helped to put players onto teams and helped Team Slash and Smash get a team together so they could sign up for the UKGBAL08. He was given sponsorship on Rooster Teeth by the, then, UK Grifball Commissioner, xilv, as a thanks for his actions.
He is also a main user and contributor on Grifballpedia and is the host/co-host of the Johnson's Memorial Cup and designed the banner for the competitions. He also has sysop rights on Grifballpedia and was commended on his hard work for the site on the 4th edition of the Grifball podcast, Grifball Buzz.

[edit] The UK Golden Awards
In the UKGBSML08, Yoda went about creating a set of awards to award to players who performed well through the season as an individual, and not just as a team. These were called the Golden Awards. These came in three awards, each themed to fit into one of the three specialized player types.
These were:-
- Golden Bomb - Given to the player with the most scores - Themed for Trick Runners
- Golden Hammer - Given to the player with the most kills - Themed for Tanks
- Golden Sword - Given to the player with the most carrier kills - Themed for Defenders
Yoda ran this competition for the UKGBSML08, the UKGBAL08 and is currently running it for the UKGBSML09. He ran the Golden Sword for the UKGBWL09 but the Golden Bomb and Hammer where handled by MallardQuakson, with Yoda absent.
Yoda has never won a overall golden award, and has only won one in the league, the Golden Sword in Week 1 of the UKGBSML09. He did win the Golden Hammer in the Sarge's Division of the Sarge's Memorial Cup, however.
[edit] The Red Light
Disaster struck for YodaMagicCircus as the Summer League sign ups began. His Xbox was struck with one red light and had to be taken for repairs. This put him out of action. There were fears that JSG would miss the Summer league. Not just that, TOS Macca was also out due to there system link and KnuXles had caused the same problem just hours earlier. Thankfully for JSG, all three players got the consoles back in time for the season.
To this day, YodaMagicCircus still blames TOS Macca for giving them the red light.
[edit] Grifball Style and Skills
Yoda uses different styles and skills while playing Grifball. While using his hammer, Yoda aims his hammer to the ground and jumps to hit a hammer jump while fighting or sometimes hammer jumps before a fight and lands on top of the enemy and hits the enemy with a second hit. Yoda refers to this as 'Air Yoda'.
Another 'Air Yoda' skill is hammering while picking up the bomb to either launch up, backwards or forwards, depending on how it is done. This can be used to escape, keep safe or score (mainly from the tip off).
Yoda also attempts the Wall Jump skill, a skill that involves jumping onto the wall for extra height. Yoda has yet to score with this but enjoys singing about 'Doing the Wall Jump' why attempting the move. Fellow teammate Strangler 999 taught him this move.
Yoda is, however, best known for his launching abilities. He is commonly seen launching bomb runners, usually Strangler 999, during games. He was the main launcher for both Johnsons Salty Grifballs and The Elite Spartans.
Yoda is also known to commonly fumble the bomb during games, especially when trying to retrieve it from the center of the court. Yoda has stated he believes himself to be the worst fumbler in Grifball, however there is noway to prove if this statement is true or not.

The Yoda Shuffle is the taunt or/and celebration used by YodaMagicCircus during games. The Yoda Shuffle is made by quickly switching weapon and crouch togelling, running to the side, running from side to side or any of the last two while crouching repeatedly. He most commonly uses it after his team scores and he is still alive.

Another taunt or/and celebration used by Yoda is the Caramelldansen. This is to get out your sword so both arms are in pointing outwards, and then to swing them in the air as a parody of the Caramelldansen music video. It is used less than the Yoda Shuffle.

YodaMagicCircus also abbreviates his name down, most notably on Rooster Teeth, to YodaMC why others abbreviate it down to YMC. He also refers to himself as 'Air Yoda' due to his style of hammering in matches.
[edit] Johnsons Salty Grifballs
The name Johnsons Salty Grifballs is not all credit to YodaMagicCircus as some credit must go to Pabloscamel as he helped Yoda with the name. YodaMagicCircus says that he originally wanted the word Grifballs in it, in some way that could be taken crudely. When watching South Park, he stumbled across an episode called Chef's Chocolate Salty Balls. Remembering an act from comedian Ross Noble about something being SALTY! he came up with Salty Grifballs. After going through a list of possible names with Pabloscamel, Yoda thought up Johnson which both thought would be good. So they put it all together and got Johnsons Salty Grifballs.
YodaMagicCircus states that at first, TOS Macca wasn't happy about the name and wanted a new one but Yoda stuck with it. The term 'The Salty Sensations' has no background and came from nowhere.

What The Bee Gees? was a term used by Yoda before it was made the name of Wookie's Grifball team. Yoda states that he didn't like the term "What The F**k" and "What The Hell", so wanted something new to say. In a act of randomness, Yoda blurted out, "What The Bee Gees?", which he now commonly uses.
