Mandokarla, originally "Sea Sparrows", is a currently Amateur level Grifball team. The team was originally founded by Houzukimaru (now Haitakamaru), Adenn Werda (now Mirdala), and KasilK13 (now Kando Tor). Houzu was voted captain.

[edit] GBSML08 Rookie

The team picked up other members leading up to the Rookie League, including Ryuishi and The Peanut Dude, as well as Kasil's brother AttackOfTheZack. Entering the League under the name "Sea Sparrows" after a Navy Air Carrier Defense Missile (the RIM-7), the team played in Division 8 and is the last remaining team from the division. The Sea Sparrows tied the division with a record of 9-1 with Team Brute Force. They defeated Unified Source and Digital Mayhem in the first two rounds before falling at the hands of Blood Thirst.

[edit] Offseason

During the offseason, The Peanut Dude, a core member of the Sea Sparrows, joined the Imperial Kings (IK) clan, and eventually the entire team joined, creating the Imperial Kings Grifball Division. Houzukimaru, Adenn Werda, and KasilK13 changed their Gamertags to IK Tihaar, IK Tal Aran, and IK Kando Tor, respectively. The team's name was changed to IK Mandokarla, after the Mandorlorian culture from the Star Wars expanded universe. Eventually, due to the friendship deveolped between the teams, Brute Force followed suit and joined the clan (becoming IK Brute Force). Due to an influx of new recruits, a new Grifball team, IK Chronos, was created, headed by The Peanut Dude. Kazink, captain of Brute Force at the time of their joining, left Brute Force due to general activity, joining Cheap Ass Gamer. Brute Force slowly fell apart, eventually leaving only a single member active in the clan, tFMechanic. Three new recruits, Lambchop166, CraBz oN RighT, and CraBz oN LefT, joined the team in preparation for the GBWL09 Leagacy season.

[edit] GBWL09 Legacy

IK Mandokarla played in Division 3. They finished 3-7 with two losses to Team Canadia Eh?, two losses to Project 86, a win over and a loss to Honored Amongst Theives, and two wins over Luftwaffe, and two losses to Fizzlewinkie, finishing 4th in the Division. They have since left the Imperial Kings and become simply Mandokarla. IK Tihaar, IK Tal Aran, and IK Kando Tor changed their names to Haitakamaru, Mirdala, and Kando Tor, respectively.

[edit] GBSL09 Amateur

Before Mando's signing up for GBSL09, The Peanut Dude returned to the roster. tFMechanic came to play with Mandokarla after a disappointing rookie season. MLG EliteIC3MAN (EliteSpartan182 at the time) joined the team to help with tanking after leaving Rampant Havoc. Ryuishi was asked to leave the team due to general inactivity, lack of skill, and taking pride in bringing nothing to the team besides "being a distraction" (inactivity means no practice). With the Rookie and Legacy tiers now becoming the "Amateur" league, and the new Pro league forming, Mandokarla has found themselves to be one of the better "Amateur" teams going into this season.

They played in Division 10, Sword Conference, with the likes of the newly reformed Spawn Bonk!!, FC-5, the Judo Hippos, the Winter League rookies Project A.C.E.S., and the newly formed Team RamRod (AttackOfTheZack's team, oddly enough, which lead to scheduling difficulties due to there being only one Xbox 360 in the house). ACES became a forfeit factory after playing their first week's games with only 3 players and being 9-0'd by the likes of FC-5 and RamRod.

Mandokarla finished the regular season 9-1, with one loss to Spawn Bonk!!, although they won their second match-up. They placed as the 11th seed in the playoffs. After defeating The Blargonauts first round, they lost to The Galloping Seagulls who would go on to win the championship.

The team produced two All Stars in GBSL09 in Lambchop and Kando.

After the end of Spring League, Kando and Lambchop decided to go in different directions. Kando left to join Team ROFLCOPTER while Lambchop became a member of Put it on the Pad!. Mandokarla has begun recruiting, and added Shotgunchief to their roster. Silent Tsubasa, an old friend of Houzu's, has joined the roster since he began playing his Xbox regularly (Mass Effect can be thanked).

Mandokarla was placed in Division 15 of the Amateur League, along with teams such as OpFor, Inglorious Basterds, No Skillz Required, Zoo Monkies, and Knights of the Ozone. After NSR's captain had a meltdown and deleted the team (leaving Mandokarla to receive forfeits for both games), Mandokarla finished 3-7 with the other win coming from OpFor also in the form of a forfeit.

[edit] GBFL09 Amateur

Following a very off season, the Mandos look to make a comeback with the return of Kando Tor. Also, including the addition of xBRCx Crymeth4 in Week 2, the captain of their old rookie playoff opponents, Blood Thirst.

Mandokarla finished 5-5, playing in one of the tougher Amateur divisions with runner-up Collateral Damage and Final Four team from the previous season, Team Ninja. They lost in the first round of the playoffs to ~Ahooooo!~.

Kando was made an All-Star again this season for reasons unknown.

Following the season, Crymeth and Kando left the roster in pursuit of Pro teams once again. Kando returned to the roster after not finding a team.
