So a video came up “unofficially” a few hours ago which showed some new multiplayer elements of Halo Reach. Such as the different load outs that can be chosen in the game. A new one that was shown was a load out with a jetpack attached to the player. And different gametypes such as Head Hunter and Spartans Vs. Elites. But the most exciting thing I saw this entire video was the footage of the Gravity Hammer. In the first Bungie ViDoc for Reach we saw an image of a Brute with a Gravity Hammer on one of the developers computer. So this of course sparked the Grifball community into an uproar over the fact that there could possibly be Grifball in Reach.
And now with the recent voice footage released showing Jeff Steitzer saying “Grifball” also made the hopes of Grifball appearing in Reach even better. But thankfully around the 1:03 mark on the multiplayer video which you can see below, we see a character holding a Gravity Hammer. And again at the 1:21 mark where a character is killed by another player with a Gravity Hammer. So two spots in the trailer we see someone using a Gravity Hammer.
Now although the entire trailer is amazing and I am really looking forward to Reach. The footage of the Gravity Hammer got me the most excited. This completely confirms that Grifball will be in Reach, either with it’s own dedicated game type or if Nokyard has to work his magic on a new map. Either way I can not wait.
