Welcome back for another update on the Amateur League from D Apollo S.
Division 1
With everyone looking at the top 3 teams in this division, wondering who was going to come out on top, we now have an answer. In a hard fought battle, the Grif Reapers defeated lvl 50 Spartan LFG 6-3. With 1 out of the 6 games played that will decide who takes this division, the Grif Reapers have taken their first step. Now we just have to wait and see how the rest of this division unravels. The Grif Reapers also defeated Call of Momma 8-1.
Division 2
What the Grif? have finally come out of hiding after over a week and a half of being inactive. They added 2 wins to their record by defeating 5hort Bu5 6-3 and then beating Randoms to Riches (formely Nuff Said) 7-2. Randoms to Riches then fell again, losing 5-4 to Ever Growing Crisis. Meanwhile, Pro Laggers continued their win streak with a 5-4 win over 5hort Bu5. It seems as if Pro Laggers will be taking this division without any stiff competition. I can see this team making a deep run in the playoffs, making an appearence in the final four.
Division 3
Hard Liquor Chasers improved their record to 2-1 by defeating The Henry Lovers 6-3. Both of these teams have been fighting it out for the top spot in their division. With one more meeting between the two remaining, and taking into account how close the score was in the last game, I can see it being even closer. I predict that The Henry Lovers will put up an even stronger fight, taking the game 5-4 in their next meeting with Hard Liquor Chasers.
Division 4
Bad Kidz Anonymous and The New York Pineapples really steped up their game play this week. BKA gathered 3 wins and a loss. Their wins consisted of two 9-0 victories over Amalgamation and an 8-1 win over MViLLE MAVERiCKS. Their only loss came in a close 5-4 game against The New York Pineapples. NYP also defeated MViLLE MAVERiCKS 8-1. I think it’s obvious who will be taking the first and second spots in this division. BKA and NYP seem to have pretty solid line ups that could pose difficulty to whoever may be facing them in the playoffs. Don’t underestimate these teams.
Division 5
Grammaton Clerics beat Too Bad To Be Named 9-0, but they shortly met the same fate afterwards, as Behind Enemy Lines gave them a 9-0 loss. Number 1 spot seems to have been locked down for the most part, as nobody has been able to put so much as a scratch on BEL. This team could possibly be a high seeded team come playoffs and I wouldn’t doubt if they continued their domination into the playoffs. As for second spot, it’s anyways game.
Division 6
No games have been played.
Division 7
The Soviet Machine added on 2 impressive wins, defeating Over 9000 Bombs 8-1 and Inverse 9-0. -1 Indian also improved their record by defeating Over 9000 Bombs 6-3. In Soviet Machine’s 2 games played this week, RDG NHL had 136 kills to 64 deaths, making an impressive K/D spread of +72 along with TimeGnome being unstoppable by getting all 17 scores made by his team. Now that the three leaders have been determined in this division in Soviet Machine, -1 Indian and Smiley Central, everyone is anxious to see how the battles turn out between these teams.
Division 8
Apocalypse Ponies continued their winning spree with wins over sons of flindor 9-0 and Steel Wolves 8-1, it’s obvious that they will be taking this division with much ease. with a 6-0 record and 48 GF and 6 GA, Apocalypse Ponies move into first place in the WL10 Amateur League.
